Until {please don't make fun of me, I'm not the swiftest tiger in the jungle} this afternoon, I realized...the same God that they revere, the same God that they worship, fear, and love... that's my God.
My God.
You have no idea how happy this made me when I realized it. :)
{Again...I'm not the swiftest...}
Indeed! The Israelites had a greater reverence for him because they still followed his Commandments, I think.

Yeah...It seems that God's laws just aren't as "important" anymore :( I'm working on it in my own life, though!
Deleteisn't it great how you get those revelations, even if you knew it already, but you actually realise it? : ) I've just finished reading the entire old testament! On to the New now!

Yes, it is! I'm impressed! You've read the entire Old Testament??? The only entire book in the OT I've read is Song of Songs! Okay, you've inspired me to read more than just the New Testament! :)
DeleteThat moment when it "clicks"... Ahhh...
ReplyDeletePS like the button on your blog ;) The one about the blog b day party ;) (don't worry my sister told me she asked y'all to put them up)
Oh, ok...I'm glad I'm "allowed" to put it there...I wasn't sure If I should just yet :)
DeleteThis is so true! We tend to forget that our God never changes. He is the same yesterday, today and always. How good is our God!
ReplyDeleteP.S. I am having a small giveaway for my Love Challenge, I would love for you to enter.

yes I just finished it a week or two ago! I decided on my birthday last year that I wanted to really truly read through the entire Bible in a year ( I had tried a couple of times but gave up/got distracted etc) and so far so good! : ) I am just about at the end of Matthew now! : )
