my...{true!} story!

      my...{true!}story!
At the ripe ol' age of four and a half, I asked Jesus to forgive me for my sins and to come into my heart. The next day when I went to preschool, my mom let me wear a tiara :) because, as she said, I was now a princess. :) I had fun explaining to every one in my class and later that night at church that "I am princess!"  I was so very proud of my new title.

But, after a week or two, I just sort of got over it and continued living my life the way I wanted to. I wasn't a super bad little girl, but I still had my moments. I would talk back to my parents (and in return get paddled ;); steal candy from our candy tin a home and from my own teacher{I used to go to a private Christian school}!!! But also, I would lie. I'd get my reading assignment for that night and I was supposed to read it then have my mom sign the little slip of paper to say that I read it. But I didn't read it. I would just tell my mom that I had read it so she would sign it.
Getting "saved" sooo did not change me.

I lived like that up until a couple years ago when I discovered a few blogs by Christian girls. I had never heard of people actually living their life for Jesus!  I had never really considered being able to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. I mean, sure, I prayed sometimes. Then one day something just snapped inside of me.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I started to pray. At first, I didn't know what to pray about, so I just  told God about my day, about what I had been learning from people like Miss Raquel and Miss Lucia. As I grew older, I also grew in faith :). I realized Jesus wasn't just that barefooted dude wearing a dress on the flannel graph board; He was my Saviour, my Lord and my Friend. :)
I've grown so much in Jesus {as well as height!} since that day I started praying {and reading the Bible, I do that too! :)}. I've learned from my parents and grandparents, who, even though I hadn't noticed before, really are passionate about living their lives for their Lord.  I really am praying that you girls might learn more about Jesus and be able to grow in Him through this blog. :)
    I know Lucia in person, actually. We're not close friends or anything, but we've known each other for a few years. Her blog is: Lucia, Etcetera. Just google it for the link:)
    Awesome story, Trinka! Amazing testimony.
