Ok, so y'all have spoken...
On my poll I asked:
How do you like my playlist?

  • It's great! Keep it! {11 votes}
  • Mmm, it's okay, but could you put different songs? {4 votes}
  • I don't like it! {0 votes}
  • Could you take it off automatic start? {13 votes}
So, to make everyone happy, I'll: Keep it, add different songs, and take it off automatic start {I'll put it on the sidebar this time instead of at the bottom of the page.}

Oh, I have an anouncement to make:
I've learned how to put italics and bold in comments on blogger!
Expect a lot of comments with that. So, yeah...
Umm, I have nothing else to say....so I'll just leave you with these verses!
Trust in the LORD, and do good; dwell in the land and befriend faithfulness. Delight yourself in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart. ~Psalm 37:3-4

Carry on {with reading this, that is}

  • In love with God
  • smart
  • leader
  • funny
  • loves me
  • likes kids
  • great hair
  • good cook
  • is basically loving
  • manly
  • all around nice
  • respectful
  • sings along with the radio
  • big n' buff

See that? That's the majority of characteristics most Christian girls {...okay me} want in their future mate.
And, though you've all probably heard this before, if we want {to deserve} a husband who is like that, we've got to be working on those qualities {well, with the exception of a few...}in our own lives.
Want a husband who's completely and totally sold out to God?
             Be so, yourself.
Got it?

And, while I'm on the subject, just remember, ladies: You're single right now for a reason. So spend this time growing closer to God. Make Him your love.

 adjure you, daughters of Jerusalem, by the gazelles or the does of the field, that you not stir up or awaken love until it pleases. ~Song of Solomon 2:7

Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. ~ 1 John 4:7-8

Understand, therefore, that the LORD your God is indeed God. He is the faithful God who keeps his covenant for a thousand generations and lavishes his unfailing love on those who love him and obey his commands. ~ Deuteronomy 7:9

For the LORD your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs. ~ Zephaniah 3:17 {*sigh* One of my favorites!}

Awards/Tagged! :)

So, I got a couple blog awards recently :)

{by Miss Jemimah and Miss Eve}
I was also tagged in a post about random things about myself by Chelsea! :)
Generalized, the rules for the awards are: list 7 random things about yourself, then tag 15 other bloggers :)
The rules for the "random" post are:

1. post these rules. {haha, check!}
2. post 11 random things about yourself.
3. answer the questions set for you in their post.
4. create 11 new questions for the people you tag to answer.
5. go to their blog and tell them they are tagged.
6. tag 11 people.

 Sooo,
1. I have 6 blue M&Ms left from the pack that I'm almost finished with :)
2. I desperately want to knit myself a hat... I still haven't gotten to that :P
3. I'm an obsessive lip gloss/balm collector I have a bunch but I rarely use them
4. It's so cold in my house I'm wearing a hat {I was wearing a coat but my family laughed at me too much :)}
5. Imma pretty good stalker :) Like you wanted to know...
6. I'm a serious procrastinator
7. You know what's weird? In the Summer, I prefer coffee. In the Winter I prefer hot tea.
8. To Kill a Mockingbird just isn't my kind of book :P But, unfortunately, I have to read it for school.
9. I reallllly want to design a blog button right now. Any takers?
10. Bahahahaha! :) There is a random essay that I wrote in like 5th grade sitting on my desk. It's about eating vegetables. O_O
11.  Those little girls are walking by again. The girl has her hat on ;)

Now, the questions I was asked! :)
1. If you could open your own business, what would it be?  A knitting/ crochet/ thrift store :)
2. What is your greatest fear? I guess it's still having to go to a public school :P {No offense to public schoolers!}
3. How long does it take you to get ready in the morning? Weeeell... if you take away all the distractions {Oooo, shiny!} about 5 min.
4. What is your greatest talent? *wrinkles up nose* Ummm...

6. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be? And still be homeschooled? The state where my grandparents {and 6 mo. old cousin!} live :)
7. If you could go back in time, what's one thing you'd change? What my parents named me. Jk ;) I like my name {but y'all will never know it! :)} Ummm, I'd probably try to change people's racism  and bigotry early on {not sure that would help, though}
8. If it was possible to see into the future, would you want to?  Hmm...I guess I would want to see into the future to see if my dad get's a job at some church as a youth pastor {he's been sending out aplications for, like, two years now}
9. What's one thing about yourself (inwardly) you'd like to change? My argumentativeness {wow, long word} Whenever I get blamed for something I start arguing O_O
10. Do you regret your past or learn from it?  Well, I haven't really learned anything from it :P So, I guess I regret it. I wish I would've become closer to my Savior.
11. What is your ALL TIME favorite song? Oh dear, it changes constantly...and there are so many good ones!!!!! I'd have to say it's still We Are by Kari Jobe :)

So now for my questions! :)
1.Do you like thrift stores?
2. What's your nickname{s}?
3. Have you given anybody a nickname? If so, what is it?

Not quuuuuiiiiite a Recipe Find

As you can tell by the title, this isn't quite a recipe find...more of a...tip.
Okay, so have you ever had the sudden urge for a muffin?
 {No? Really? Not once have you had an inexplicable desire which could only be quenched by a muffin? ...Well, just pretend. For me.}
                                              ......
                                          *crickets*
                                              ......
Sooo, where were we?
Ah, yes. You want a muffin, but you don't want to make an entire batch. {well, of course you won't be able to get out of making the whole batch, but...just imagine you're you. From the future. At a time where you've already made the whole batch}

So, here is my solution! {but first a lovely strawberry muffin}

Strawberry Muffin Recipe
{via}

  • First, find a basic muffin recipe, you know,a sort of sugar cookie of the muffin batter world  :){this one or this one should probably work}
  • Second, whip up the batter
  • Third, empty the batter into a large plastic refrigerator/food container.

Some thing you can add to make it even more tasty:

  • blueberries
  • chocolate chips
  • cinnamon sugar
  • peanut butter :)
  • jam
  • to make it "healthier" you can also add a bit of ground flax seed...
  • strawberrrrries ...yummmm
  • really anything I guess...
Whenever the mood strikes you, take out a small ramekin or even a mug, put enough muffin batter to fill it at least a third of the way, add your mix-ins. Microwave for 2-4 min. Enjoy! :)

So, I hope this helps! ...Just remember to make the batter in advance... :)

Disrespect

disrespect
{via}
This is a really good article too.^

You know those days that you just feel...irritable? Well, this week, that's pretty much all I was feeling :P It didn't help that my mom was very stressed out, therefore yelling at everybody  almost everyone. {She was nice to the the random person who called and had the wrong number.} But, as I said, she was really stressed {okay, still is}, so, now I understand. But umm, that's not what this post is about.
See, I was raised to never yell at an adult. Also to never be disrespectful or smart-Alec-ish* {not to say that I never do that. :P}
So, this week, when I got a lashing out for doing whatever, I would just stand silently and say "Yes." or "No." at the correct moments.
But, oh boy, when I got back to my room, I would whisper every little comment I wished I could have said to her. I know, immature, right?
Thursday night as I was lying in bed, going over everything my mom had said that day, a voice came into my head. "Honor your Father and Mother."
"But, Lord! I wasn't being disrespectful! I didn't say anything mean or even role my eyes!"
                                                        ...............
                                                            .......
                                                              ...
                                                            "Oh."
                                             "I guess I was a little disrespectful."
Yeah, try a lot. Even though I didn't say anything in my mom's hearing, I was disrespecting her. And doing that just made seem lower and lower to me.  *wince*

        “Honor your father and mother, as the LORD your God commanded you. Then you will live a long, full life in the land the LORD your God is giving you." -Deuteronomy 5:16

The Lord was pretty clear with this. In fact he said something along those^lines a couple times in the Scriptures.
Which means...He really wants to get that through my thick skull. I'm working on it. I'm working on it with the Lord's help.
Have any of you ever had that problem?
So let's all work on it, respect our parents, they've raised us, and they deserve the respect!
Report back to me in a month with your results. ;)
*To all people named Alec, I'm sorry for you...

Hi!

Hi, girls :) So I've been slacking off at blogging. :P But I have a reason! I've been doing tests since today is the last day of the semester. {In fact, I just got done with my school work :P} Ummm...okay, that was kind of a lie. I've actually only been doing tests today and yesterday... the other days, I was just being lazy. :)

Okay, so right now, these two little girls who live on our street are walking by, and one of them has on an adorably cute hat!  Just sayin'  {I'm gonna make myself one!}

Annnnnnddddd, this post was pretty much pointless....
Oh! Look at the pretty bow!

Fail and an Award

First of all: some advise for you all: always, always follow the recipe. ALWAYS. Because, you see, yesterday, I had a hankerin' for some brownies...but alas, we had only one egg left. But did this stop me? Oh, no.  So, I looked up some recipes for egg-less brownies. There were a few, but all of them seemed to include many different steps for which I was too lazy to do. So, I just went with the original recipe. The one that called for four eggs. "Ehh, I don't need to follow no stinkin' recipe!" I used the recipe as a sort of...guideline. I mixed, I added, I tasted. I added some more. Finally, it looked slightly like brownie batter, so I added it to the pan {the Perfect Brownie Pan, I might add. I thought that by using that, maybe the brownies would miraculously because perfect.
When the 45 minutes were up, I opened the oven and took out a black, boiling, suspiciously smoky smelling mess.  Yet, I set it on a pot holder on the dining room table to cool. By the time dinner was over, the brownies were cool, and we could comences with eating them. I let my family go first ;) After about an hour, and they weren't dead, I decided to try one.
And they were gross. {but my mom likes them...}
So, the lesson here is: Always follow the recipe. Unless you're a baking genius. Which I am not... :P

ANYWAY, I was awarded by  JessicaRachel and Emma Margaret. They each gave me the  Kreativ Blogger Award!!!! Thanks sooo much, girls!

3) Award other blogs, and let them know in a comment/email that they have been awarded

Recipe Find

Okay, this recipe is pretty good, we made it for Christmas, and they were just about everyone's favorite!

                       OREO TRUFFLES
Ingredients:

  • 1 package of Oreos-any kind
  • 1 package of cream cheese {regular stuff, not the whipped}
  • one package of melting chocolate
You will need a food processor and a mixer for this recipe.
Put the Oreos in the food processor and "process" till they are fine crumbs.  Put crumbs and cream cheese into mixer and mix till cream cheese is fully incorporated.
Spread a sheet of wax paper on a cleared counter or table and use a very small cookie scoop to scoop them out. Don't worry about separating them as you would cookies; you won't be baking them, therefore, they won't spread! Put them in the freezer for a few hours or until they aren't as soft.
When you think they are hard enough, take them out, and start melting your chocolate! You can use a chocolate melter, or a double boiler {if you don't have either, melt in a glass measuring cup in the microwave, stirring occasionally to make sure it doesn't burn}. As soon as the chocolate is melted, dip a cookie ball in the chocolate and make sure it's completely covered. Don't leave it in the chocolate for too long, or else it will start to melt.
Carefully place on another sheet of wax paper and let cool.
Happily eat. :)
Notes:

  • You can use regular Oreos, mint Oreos, white Oreos, or even Nutter Butters :)
  • Likewise, you can use white chocolate, milk chocolate, or dark chocolate.
  • If your house is warm, it would be a good idea to, once they are frozen, plop them into a plastic container and slip in the freezer, only taking a few out as you dip them.
  • It would also be a good idea to store them in the refrigerator {or if the outside is cold, the "outdoor refrigerator" ;)} as they are made with cream cheese.

PS: remember this post? Well, I found a page with ten different mug cake recipes!!!!
PSS: Thanks so much to my new follower, memory!

be ME

Pinned Image
This has absolutely nothing to do with the post, I just really like
the hat and the kid's expression ;)
{via}

{no, not ME.....just read on and you'll know what the title's about}
Hello, girls! I hope y'all a good Christmas {and for those of you who didn't celebrate Christmas, I hope y'all had a lovely time enjoying your Lord. :)}

I took a bit of a break from blogger along with my Christmas break, and well, I missed y'all! You guys {or girls as I should say} never fail to encourage me or post something on your blogs about just the thing I needed reminded of. :) {just sayin'} :)

Sooo, I had a pretty cool experience the other week.

At the Christmas Service {on Christmas Morning}, near the end, Pastor asked us all to silently pray and ask the Lord what he wanted to do with our lives in the New Year.

                                             So I did.

The answer was pretty quick, and not all that quiet. I heard it very cleary. :) His reply was: {guess!}
                                                                          "Be ME."
Be ME. That's all he said. Be ME.
 But that was enough. I understood. Be as Jesus is. Be as Jesus was, as he lived when he came down to this wretched place. Love people. Love God. Respect. Obey.

So, I've taken it upon me to be Jesus. Would you like to to join me?
I'll leave y'all with this verse:
                      If we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.  Galatians 5:25

Thanks so much to my newest follower, Crista Moriah! :)
